Many of them brought home Academy Awards, BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television), and other accolades. In Hollywood, you will find many British celebs. No matter what their background is or level of financial success, the key to their success is their talent. Here we have a list of most successful #British actors of 2016.

Daniel Craig

Daniel Wroughton Craig was born in March 1968. This English actor has gained popularity all over the world. He studied at the National Youth Theater, and completed his graduation from the "Guildhall School of Music and Drama" in 1991. Before becoming an actor, Craig used to be a stage performer. His debut was “The Power of One,” released in 1992. Some of the most prominent works of this celeb are “A Kid in King Arthur's Court,” “Elizabeth,” “Sharpe's Eagle,” “Zorro,” “Casino Royale,” and others. Daniel rose to the limelight with his performance in the British TV film “Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon.” In 1992, he tied the knot with actress Fiona Loudon. The two have a daughter, Ella. They filed for a divorce in 1994. After this, Daniel made the headlines because of his relationship with German actress Heike Makatsch. Their relationship ended in 2001. Also, he dated film producer Satsuki Mitchell from 2005 to 2010.

Hugh Grant

Born in September 1960, Hugh John Mungo Grant is one of the most successful British actors in 2016. He is not only an actor but also a prominent film producer. During his career, he was awarded a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, and an Honorary César. According to an estimate, his movies have grossed over US$2.4 billion from 25 theatrical releases worldwide. Thus, he is one of the richest British actors in Hollywood. Some of his best projects include “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” “Mickey Blue Eyes,” “Notting Hill,” “Bridget Jones's Diary,” “About a Boy,” and “American Dreamz.” His mother was a teacher, and she used to teach him French, Latin, and other languages. Grant has inherited his accent from his mother. He studied at "St Peter's Primary School in Hammersmith." This actor made an appearance in 1992’s Roman Polanski film “Bitter Moon.” In his teenage years, this male celebrity used to play rugby union. He is also a good football player, and played in a Sunday-morning football league in London.
