Three most successful sci-fi movies

Here, we talk about this year’s most successful sci-fi movies. From alien invasions to digital wars, everything is present in a Hollywood movie to entertain you. The movies that I have discussed in this list are technically excellent, and they each pulled in solid numbers at the box office.

1. 'The 5th Wave'

“The 5th Wave” is one of the most successful American films. The director of this science fiction movie is J Blakeson. Its screenplay was written by Susannah Grant, Akiva Goldsman, and Jeff Pinkner. The story was inspired by a novel of the same name by Rick Yancey. In this amazing film, the leading characters are played by Chloë Grace Moretz, Nick Robinson, Ron Livingston, Maggie Siff, and Alex Roe. Maria Bello, Maika Monroe, and Live Schreiber have supporting roles. Post-production of this movie began in March 2012. It was released under the banners of GK Films and Material Pictures. Most of its scenes were shot in Georgia. The story is about a high-school student, Cassie Sullivan. She comes across some uncertain situations, and tries to get out of them. It grossed over $400 million the world over.

2. 'Midnight Special'

“Midnight Special” is another successful and fantastic science fiction film of 2016. Its writer and director is Jeff Nichols. The movie producers are Sarah Green, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. It stars Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver, and Jaeden Lieberher. This film competed for the Golden Bear at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival. This movie grossed more than $250 million. The story is about Roy. He remains worried about the future of his biological son, Alton Meyer. The movie was released in the second week of March 2016, under the banner of Warner Bros, Pictures.

3. 'The Divergent Series: Allegiant Part 1'

“The Divergent Series: Allegiant” is a sci-fi adventure movie of this year. Its director is Robert Schwentke. The screenplay was written by Stephen Chbosky, Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, and Noah Oppenheim. It is an installment of “The Divergent Series.” Its producers are Lucy Fisher, Pouya Shahbazian, and Douglas Wick. The film stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jeff Daniels, Octavia Spencer, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, and Maggie Q. Bill Skarsgard, and Naomi Watts are supporting characters. The movie grossed over $200 million worldwide.
