Europeans and health risk: reasons revealed by Imperial College of London's doctors

A 2016’s research conducted by the healthcare professionals of Imperial College London demonstrates that the excessive use of diet foods is the core reason of increased rate of thrombotic stroke. The studies have found that people who eat three servings of diet food items per week have 10% more chances of developing type 2 diabetes compared to those who do not prefer these products.
Similarly, a journal published in American Psychologist 2016 clarifies that the short-term dieting is behind various health problems. It mainly involves restrictions of calorie intake, and can lead to non-sustained improvements in weight loss. Thus, it is highly recommended that we opt for long-term dieting habits. This clearly means that we should consume the appropriate amount of nutrients.
Proteins, carbohydrates, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients should neither be consumed in excess nor should these be too low in quantity. If it happens, there are chances that we would start feeling weak after a couple of days’ dieting.
It is widely believed that even two out of twenty Europeans develop serious mental and physical disorders especially obesity, diabetes, blood pressure, etc. because of the uncontrolled use of artificial foods. Dieting is the name of eating food in the well-regulated and supervised format, with the purpose to reduce and maintain body weight. In other words, we can say that dieting is all about controlling weight gain. It is helpful to deal with the problem of obesity and various health problems that are affecting the people in all parts of the world.
Check out the list of diet foods that actually make you fat. It might be because of their inappropriate combination of nutrients. Let's see what health experts say.

Breakfast cereals

Are you up for breakfast cereals? Those who believe that this diet food is health-friendly and helpful to shed extra pounds are making a big mistake. The so-called healthy cereals that you make a part of your morning food are actually good for nothing. It is just a bowl of fully refined carbohydrates with lots of sugar. Dr. Oz from the medical research unit of Imperial College London names it to be one of the worst foods you are possibly using to start the day. Needless to say that the sugar in the cereals can tremendously increase the insulin of the body and blood glucose level, so it is better that you stay away from this type of food.

Sugar-free cookies and candies

Anything that is artificially prepared or is present as a canned food is not good for health-conscious individuals. When the manufacturers claim that their sugar-free candies and cookies have been presented with no elements of sugar, remember that they are trying to trick you. Even the famous brands’ no-sugar candies and cookies can make you obese. Each of them contains up to ten grams of fat and 200 calories. Dr. Oz believes that the intake of sugar-free foods needs to be cut down immediately.

Low-fat yogurt

Medical researchers at Imperial College London are of the view that just like the sugar-free cookies and candies, the low-fat yogurt is not worth a try. The yogurt is rich in proteins, minerals, and calcium. This diet becomes worse when you opt for a brand’s low-fat yogurt. These are actually rich in fat and mostly come in the processed forms at the stores. Multiple studies prove that eating dairy fat can contribute to the greater extent.

Fruit juice

If you are serious about losing the weight, then the fruit juices should never be a part of your dieting plan. The fruit juice is healthy only when it is prepared at home. When it comes from the markets in the form of packs, it can actually disturb your stomach and can cause obesity. The flavored fruit juices are rich in sugar, carbs, and fibrous components.
